How can I hook up my stereo speakers to my computer?

It depends. You first have to make sure your speakers are attached to a amplifier (it basically powers up your speakers). If you attach your speakers directly to your computer then you will get virtually no sound even on full volume. But if your speaker is an actual system (where you can adjust the volume of your speakers outside your computer / it is powered) then buy a twin phono (sometimes called stereo phono) to 3.5mm jack cable or adaptor and just hook it up. First, check the back of your stereo, If there are white/red audio ports for an 'aux' input then you're set to go, you'll just need a cable which splits the 'headphone' size jack in your pc to the correct output for your stereo. If you don't have the red+white ports life will be made more difficult for you, and your best option would probably be to buy an fm transmitter, and have it transmit to your stereo... Or if you're feeling extravagant, buy a new stereo making sure it's got an audio line in port! :)
