How to play sims 3 without a cd?

How do I play Sims 3 on my computer without the CD?

  • Hello! I borrowed the game The Sims 3 from my sister so I could install it on my computer. It installed, but now I can only play it if i have the disk in it. Is there and way for me to keep the game on my laptop without putting in the disk to the disk drive everytime? Thank You! :)

    U could try burning off the disk, but I', not sure if that could work, but u might as well try it. Or u could get the disk and turn onm the sims 3. And don't exit out of the game, and when u want to turn ur game off, all u need to do is hibernate ur computer :D Its that easy, I never shut down my laptop or computer.

if you download the game off the website through origin you should be able to play it directly on your computer and without ever having a disc, you can play with out it. I did this with Spore and it worked just fine, never owned a game disc. I could also transfer the game between my laptop and computer

You would have to have the disc in order to play the game. You can download it from Origin (mentioned above) or from Steam or another digital distribution client. This means once you purchase Sims 3 from these sites you can download the game and play it off your PC without having to use a cd.

The only way you can play without the original sims 3 disk is if one you buy and install an expasion pack or if you downloaded the game online from a site like amazon.
