Well my 2gb ipod is holding just under 1000 songs at the moment and it is nearly full! My guess would be 1000! x x x x x x x x x x x

It depends entirely on the bitrate of your music. You should be able to fit like 24 hours on a 2g at 64kbps (kilobits per second). But the amount of play time is dramatically decreased if your music is at 312kbps for example,
