What's a good webcam for skype?

I recently got a new laptop and I am going to try and skype with some of my friends. But the laptop that I got does not have a webcam already built into it. So now I am trying to find a webcam that is of good quality, but is also on the cheap side. Also with skype, is there any webcam that are not compatible? Because I will mainly be using the webcam just to skype
