Is there a way to retrieve a copied text?

Is there a way to retrieve lost text from a flash drive file?

• I have quite a few pictures and text documents located on a 4gb Lexar "Firefly" flash drive. Unfortunately, I was looking through a particularly large text document recently and found that from the middle of the file (which is in Wordpad) to the end of the file, there is nothing other than what can best be described as "squiggly" lines! I've tried defragmenting and checking the drive for errors, but everything else on it works perfectly, and no errors can be found by me or my computer. I might add that this has happened to me before when the file was on a different flash drive, used with a different computer (I retrieved the missing section last time, though for the life of me I can't recall how I did it). If anyone can help me, I will be beyond grateful. Thank you for your time!

  If you have a copy of the file on another computer your best bet would be to try and transfer it again. Always make sure that you allow the computer to disconnect the drive prior to removing it.
