Why can't I install PC game?

Cant install graphics card driver in win 7?

• My graphics card- gigabite geforce 450 gts works very well in win xp, it got detcted wen i install the graphic card, and i could install the drivers too and play game with it. Few days earlier i updated my pc (cpu-intel i3 2.4 processor, 4 GB RAM 1 TB Harddisk storage) to win 7. The booting and all the instalation process went well. But my graphics card wasnt detected. And wen i tried installing the video card drivers(win 7 drivers)it said"the graphics driver couldnt find compatible graphics hardware" Then i checked the device manager and ther was a driver problem with my PCI E slot of my computer. It said that the PCIE driver of my mother board was not installed. I thought dats why my graphic card wasnt geting detected. But how did the graphic card worke in xp! I tired googling out the problem, i installed latest mother board drivers, but the PCI E driver was never sloved. Therefore my video card never got detected and i couldnt install drivers. So i rebooted and im currently using XP again. So is it realy the PCIE driver problem? or is it dat my graphic card isnt compatible with the win7(i checked the video card package, it said its compatible) OR is it power supply problem .or bios problem, etc i rely cant figure out what the problem is, but i rely wanna use win 7 os, im tired with xp

  If the card is working in XP, it should work in 7 and in any other OS as well if you give proper drivers to it. The problem is: You may not be installing the proper drivers for your motherboard. Mention your motherboard model here and i will link you to the correct drivers or else what you can do is, go to the manufacturers website, find your motherboard and download the latest drivers from there for Windows 7 OS. there is a possibility that your motherboard might be old enough and so the manufacturer might not be having the drivers for Windows 7, and if this is the case then you need to get a new motherboard.
