How much is my HP Pavillion worth?

How can i get the USB front panel connectors on the HP pavillion 7955 to work with a generic motherboard?

  • the usb front panel connector wires on the inside of the HP pavillion 7955 case are arranged different to a generic or standard motherboard's fitting. If possible i would like a colored diagram of how the wires should be arranged in a USB connector for a standard or generic motherboard.

your motherboard should in the manual for the pin-out for the usb headers on the board. I think you need 5 connectors, positive/negative/neutral power plugs, and a send/recieve pin. if you don't find anything in the manual, don't hesitate to call tech support

you may have to cut the leads apart, i have to do this from time to time - it is no biggie as for a diagram - it will be listed on the MB - you can also download a manual of the MB online if you do not have one
