What kind of ram do I need to use to upgrade my macbook pro from 2gb to 4gb?
-
I'm going to upgrade my ram in my mbp from 2gb to 4gb, what sort of ram do i need to purchase to make sure that it'll be compatible with the mbp
-
Answer:
Same RAM as what you already have - just get 2 More GB of it. Check under About this Mac to find out. Or go to your nearest Apple store and ask them. # 2GB (two SO-DIMMs) of PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 memory; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs.html You don't need to buy Apple RAM but it is VERY advisable to get an Apple tech to fit it for you.
