How can I get my web cam to work on MSN?

I cant get my web cam to work?

  • I am pretty useless on the computer but i know how to do the daft things. When i first got my web cam i got it working and all was fine, but i had to reload my comp so everything got wiped off and now i cant get it to install and work. I have the disc and done everything i am suppose to do. But nothing, on MSN it keeps coming up saying "cannot send " and then on screen when i try to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks danni x

  • Answer:

If your web cam is a USB device then it should work staight away with XP providing that it's plugged in alright (and not broken). However, despite what the net-heads, propeller-heads and nerds may say, Microsoft products are very far from faultless. You may have to "manually" activate your camera. Try opening MY COMPUTER and see if it's shown as a connected device. You may also like to try running the Add New Hardware option from START- CONTROL PANEL. Good luck.

check your web cam is connected properly and you have downloaded cam driver. if this is done restart your computer it may help.....if still does not work may be server down or other technical problem with msn messenger, may be try yahoo messenger.

Try finding the 'drivers' for the webcam. google <product name> <version> 'driver'
