How to burn a dvd to a disc so it work on my dvd player it says video format not supported?

I am guessing you are trying to burn an AVI to a dvd and watch it on the tv. Download DVD santa it will convert the avi to NTSC format. Your dvd player reads Pal or NTSC formats only. You could also go to Best buy and buy a cheap DVD player that reads avi's that's what I did so I didn't have to convert every movie.
