How do I make another iTunes library?

How to make iTunes library run off of a USB flash drive?

  • Ok, so my laptops hard drive with windows seven on it only leaves me 1 GB of space to use(Programs etc.) When I download a song from Limewire and I have selected the songs to save to my USB flash drive, I drag it from the my limewire to my iTunes library. This works, but now I only have 16mb of space left on main hard drive :C due to all of the music That has been sent to my iTunes library. Why is this music going on to the main hard drive when I saved it to my USB flash-drive? Please Help me fix this.

  • Answer:

iTunes uses the iTunes library as part of its program. You can't just keep the songs on the flashdrive and play them off like that. If you wanted to you could install iTunes directly to your flashdrive and run everything straight from there. But if your laptop has 1GB of space left you either have one shitty piece of equipment there or you have too much crap on your computer... I have 852GB of free space.
