How can I get that 'old microphone' sound?

What microphone would I use to get perfect sound quality?

• Does anyone know what kind of microphone I should use for extremely good quality? Oh, and when I say good quality I mean like my voice would be crystal clear and there would be no static in the background.

Also, they typically use Mic cables like http://www.music123.com/Mogami-Silver-Series-Microphone-Cable-339037-i1129276.Music123 so you'll have to do some signal converting to connect it to your computer. Something like http://www.music123.com/Mogami-Gold-Studio-1-4--TRS-Female-XLR-Cable-339033-i1129268.Music123 will convert it to a 1/4 inch plug and then you can get a 1/4 inch plug to 3.5mm jack for your computer (assuming you don't already own something like a Sound Blaster X-Fi Premium sound card that has the external box with 1/4 inch jacks on it).
