What is wrong with my Desktop?

My desktop computer's keyboard won't work. I plugged in another but that doesn't work either. What's wrong?

  • The keyboard on my PC desktop stopped working altogether. I don't think the issue is with the keyboard, however, because another keyboard I plugged in from another desktop had the same issue. How can I fix this? I've tried locating it on the "control panel" but it doesn't even show up.

  • Answer:

maybe the usb or the port for keyboard is broken. try reinstalling keyboard drivers.

You may be right try a USB key board as well as the other type. Since the system boot and does not complain that the keyboard is not there. Open the keyboard properties sheet and see if all is normal there. What OS are you using?

Assuming you know how to get to your device manager. Right click on computer icon, properties then device mngr. go to keyboard. update driver, if that doesnt do it, uninstall driver then reboot and see if new hardware found comes up let it do its thing.

sounds like you dont have it plugged into the right socket. jerry r.
