What's the best HD capture card?

Would using fraps give me just as good quality as using a HD capture card?

• Okay, here's my setup. I have a monitor and I bought an adapter to hook my Xbox 360 up to it. Then I open up my laptop to view whats on the monitor. Then I open up fraps and record whats going on, on my laptop screen, which has whats on the monitor which is my xbox playing. I do this because I don't like having all the wires. My brother, uses an HD capture card to record from the tv, to the 360, to the dazzle to the computer. he has to use a lot of wires and it takes a while to hook up. I have great quality and so does he, but he said I wouldn't have as good quality because all of the people on justin.tv uses Dazzle Capture cards. So, would my setup still give me good quality just like a capture card?

  Fraps likes to cut down on your FPS because it uses allot of the CPU to run. Using an HD capture card would only help if you had it routed like this- If your doing it from your computer: HDMI out to an HD TV, cable out from TV to capture card and backto the computer. Or from the TV, TV out to capture card to comp. FRAPS does NOT record TV only games running on a computer. I hope I answerd your question cause I was a little confused. If not, im sorry.
