How do I get dos to recognize my ps2 mouse for a dos based game?

• I am in need of a little programming help here, like maybe a step by step directions for loading a driver for my ps2 mouse into my dos environment for a dos based game which I am running on my win98plus operating system. When I start the game in win98, it switches into dos mode to run, but it won't start without my mouse available in dos as well. What little dos programming I once knew has been laid aside for so long I can't remember much of it. But I will pick it up quickly with a little prompting I'm sure.

  Um, PS/2 mice are recognized in DOS, without a driver. It's possible that this game just doesn't like your "new" mouse (new to it, no matter how long you've owned it), and you will have to find an older mouse. For instance, if your mouse is an optical mouse, I would expect to have problems with a 12 or 13 year old DOS game. Good luck, though.
