Reliance NetConnect Card Or Tata IndiCom Plug2Surf?
-
I want to buy a Data Card. The two options are Reliance NetConnect Card and Tata IndiCom Plug2Surf. Which one would you recommend? I've used Reliance sometime back and I find that its not at all Reliable and although they are promising speed of 144 kbps I used to get only 30 KBPS. Is the Tata Indicom similar to that one? Please help!

You can buy tata indicom's photon...usb based datacard with the speed upto 2.4mbps...but you will not always get the maximum speed.but moreover the speed is not less then 1.5MBPS.. You can use bsnl data card also which comes with the speed of 2mbps..but dont buy relience data card. All the best.

Instead of a Net card, you can buy BSNL Broadband. It is good

Reliance has introduce EVDO Data Card upto 3.1MBPS download and 1.8MBPS upload speed and wide coverage 35cities and Highway and railways But Tata photon is limited to 3 or 4 City I guess. So if you want something real mobile with long coverage go for reliance. BSNL is good when it workes but real bad with support...

Reliance net connect says top speed of 144 kbps(kilo bits per second) not KBps(kilobytes per second). This is sam in all intrnet providers. In your case speed is 144 kbps i.e.=144/8=18 KBps.You get 30KBps as some times download stops and wnen resumes ,it resume at a great speed.Plug2surf provides speeds upto 153.2 kbps i.e.153.2/8=19.15 KBps.their speed is also consistent so u can expect this speed 24 hrs and i sometimes got speeds of 40 KBps(though it doesn't mean that it is constant.) So i recommend you tata indicom as it has great customer support unlike (un)reliance! Do email me if u hav computer related queries.

Use airtel surfing plug with 256kbps speed, costs only RS 900 + 15% tax / PM. It is better than tata and reliance. or use good broad band if u have desktop. I suggests you to use airtel surf plug if u have to invest one time amount. If u dont move any where just buy any good broadband like world phone, sify or airtel broadband. They offer good speeds with minimum investment and monthly rental.
