Problem in writing a cd using nero after installing window 7?

my friend just installed the window 7 earlier he was having window xp..but now the memory space left in the c is just around 500mb..n he is not able to copy or write a cd using nero ..shud he need to reinstall the window after making sufficient partition for c or plz tell me some other way in which we don't need to reintall and partition the hard drive again..coz the only problem is writing or copying the cd thanx in advance and plz explain :)

Maybe the cache for the files is not enough, if that's the case then you increase the partition size, you can use gparted to resize the partitions without formatting the whole computer.
