Is there a way to plug my Macbook into my Tv?

Is there a way to plug a gaming console into your laptop and play games without using a TV?

  • I live in a college dorm and I have left my TV at home for space-conserving reasons. However, I own a PS2 and am thinking about buying a PS3, and I was wondering if there is an adapter or piece of hardware I can buy that enables me to plug my console into my laptop and play games that way. I never watch TV and the only reason I would want one is in order to play console games. Can anyone provide suggestions that don't involve getting a TV, or am I out of luck?

  • Answer:

Unless you have a TV tuner or video inputs on your laptop (which is doubtful), the answer is probably no. You could get a LCD monitor for about $100. It won't have a TV tuner but you can get one with the proper inputs or buy an adapter (depending on what kind of console it is). It would take up more space than nothing, but less than a regular TV would. You could also hook it up to your laptop and have dual display/extended desktop.

Yes you can. If you have a video in port for your video card you can. If you have a tv card for your laptop you can too.
