I have Windows Media Player 11, and Windows XP. How do I install a USB foot pedal?
-
I need to do transcription on my home PC. I have the foot pedal, but when I plug it in to the USB port, I don't even get a prompt that the PC recognizes new hardware. I really need this thing to work.

Answer:
I'm assuming you havent done this so . . . Take everything that came in box with the pedals. If there is paper bits, read them one will be instructions If there is a round shiny thing (likely to be in a paper sleeve) it'll be the SOFTWARE CD Following instructions, install software, plugging in pedal ONLY when prompted to by the installation program. Read files on the CD, one will tell you how it works, then use it
