Will there be a Left 4 Dead 3?

Will Left 4 Dead Work with these requirements (using SwiftShader)?

  • I want to play Left 4 Dead... but will these requirements work???? Pentium 4 3.00 gigahertz 1GB RAM SiS Mirage 3 graphics..... If it does not will these work by adding SwiftShader????

    SwiftShader performs all of the graphics calculations on the CPU, and currently supports up to Direct3D 9 with Shader Model 3.0. It can run a wide range of games including Left 4 Dead, regardless of your graphics card. It will run quite slow on an old CPU like that though. The SiS Mirage 3 should support Shader Model 2.0 which is the minimum for Left 4 Dead. So it's worth a shot but you can always use SwiftShader if it doesn't work.

the processor is not nearly strong enough. the graphics card does not come close. swift shader doesn't really do anything except allow the programs to run, and emulate a small amount of gfx card functions, but it cannot do it nearly fast enough to run anything at a decent framerate. if a game does not work WITHOUT swiftshader, it will not work WITH it. a cpu simply does not have enough power to emulate a gpu at any kind of decent speed.
