How do i take pics with my web cam?

Web cam question. how do i get to see a immage of what my web cam is seeing on the screen......?

• i can take pics and vid and watch it on the computer, noprobs. but the cam i have is a web cam aswell, the computer has auto installed it and there is no funtion to watch what the cam is seeing on the screen. Ive seen this else where, where the image is in aa small window in the corner .....i know this is simple to do and i feel sorry for asking but help would be handy....thx

  have you got the webcam software cd / driver if so install the software for the webcam then when you put the cam on you will see what the cam can see if you face the cam to th window and look at the monitor your see the cars going by but dont keep your cam at the window to long or next door may think your up to something lol you dont want the law at your door now do you lol
