My computer speakers are buzzing, how can I fix them?

My logitech computer speakers randomly stopped working. How do I fix them?

  • A couple of days ago I unplugged my speakers from my computer to use them with my iPod. The next day I hooked the speakers up back to the computer to listen to some music via iTunes. The sound wasn't working so to see if it was an issue with ITunes I got on YouTube and played a video; the sound didnt work there either. So then I go to the realtek sound manager to do the test on the speakers and they worked fine. I could here the sample noise come out of both. The chords are all hooked up correctly and the speakers still work on the iPod but the computer is just refusing to work for some reason and it is extremely frustrating. Please help me. Thanks

  • Answer:

Sounds to me like you have "mute" checked in your audio mixer panel.
