What shall I do to install printer?

I lost my CD to install my printer.. what can I do now?

  • I just bought a printer, but I lost the CD that comes with it to install the printer software in the computer. I really need to use it, I don't know what to do please HELP! How can I install my printer in to my computer..... my printer is a cannon and my laptop is a imac

  • Answer:

    Go to the Internet and on the cannon website, you'll be able to download the install files for you printer. I usually just throw those disks away anyway because the downloaded files from the Internet are the updated version of the drivers. If you provide the printer make and model and your imac operating system level, we will be able to get you a link to the file online.

If you have internet connection you can always go to the canon website & download the driver from there. If you don't but you have a windows install disc you can load a generic driver for the printer although this would not work as well as the correct driver.

well, you can start by getting more organized, then you can ask to borrow someone Else's CD.:)

You could go to the official Cannon website to download the specific driver for your printer. If not, there should be a technical support phone number either on the printer or the box you got with it, or on the official site. If you cant do any of those for whatever reason, you could probably get a replacement by mail from cannon or by the retailer who sold you the printer. I always make backups so this kind of prob never really happened to me. Hope i was helpful+good luck!
