How can I use my web cam as a nanny cam?

  • I was wondering how I can use my web cam on my computer at home as a nanny cam. I am on a business trip at the moment and won't be home for over a month and my wife is going to be in the hospital for surgery for three days. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone we can implicitly trust to watch our 1 year old for the three days my wife will be in the hospital. We have friends that recommended some people for my wife to interview, but I still want to be able to look in anytime on the web cam on my computer at any time to check in and see what is happening at the moment. I am looking for something where I can see what my web cam sees at any moment, but I don't want to have to save anything to my computer since I don't have much space left on it. If files do have to be saved, I have plenty of room on my laptop that I take with me, so I could save them from this computer if needed (or possible). Also, I would prefer if it was not obvious that I was using my web cam as a nanny cam if anyone sat down at the computer to use it. Thank you in advance for any help!
