How to make a computer use more RAM?

How do i make my computer use all the ram it has including my graphics card?

    You want to "use it all" as in make the system so overloaded nothing runs properly. A PC will run better if it has free memory to play with. And NO program will make a PC use video card memory on a seperate card as normal RAM.

I take it you have 4gb of RAM or more? Windows Vista allows the maximum potential from 4gb of RAM + your graphics card. If not all of your RAM is being recognized by your Vista machine you may need to update your motherboard BIOS, check your motherboard supports 4gb of RAM and check that none of your RAM is defective.

Usage of the memory that is RAM as well as Graphic card is managed by the OS . the user cannot change it in any way

Open everything you have installed till it stalls and crashes and then you will think to yourself "Why did I just do that?" upon which it will then catch fire due to the excessive heat and end up a molten heap on the carpet. Then you will have to call the Fire Brigade and your mother will be hopping mad because you have burnt a hole in the carpet or burnt the house down! And after all that you still had no control over the graphics card's RAM.

hi alex your pc will use as much memory as it needs,if it requires 1024mb of memory and you have it ,then thats what it will use theres no way of using more memory thats needed,as it needs a procesess to use the memory(ram) the good news is with the price of memory hardware and with most p.c,s and laptops being shipped with 2gb of ram as standard you shouldnt need to worry about any memory issues any problems let me know good luck alex !

Video RAM is physically installed on the graphics card, completely separate from your system RAM.
