Is it possible to use a game controller as a mouse?

Controlling Windows with a game controller, instead of your mouse?

• I was wondering if anyone knew a way to replace your mouse with a game controller. To use the controller to surf the internet and your Windows system. Just like the PS3's controller can be used to surf the internet. Is there already a controller out there that can do this? Or are there any tricks to do this? I've recently found a Winamp Plug-in that is supposed to let you control Winamp with your game controller. And one of the reviewers said it's also good to surf the net. And in it's description, it says you can "control windows" but I am not sure if that means application windows or Windows itself. I don't have a PC controller on hand to test this out, and since I don't play PC games, I don't want to waste money on a controller if this turns out to not do what I want it to do. I really like the way my PS3 controller can be used for internet browsing purposes, and I was hoping there is a PC controller that can do this. Anyone know of any?

  Oh yeah- there is a controller that can act as a mouse. I had one and then i sold. It comes with software and has a retractable cord. It's pretty sweet with lights and rumblers also.
