A good webcam?

What is a good free webcam I can use?

• i got a new laptop (compaq presario cq62) with a webcam and the program (you cam 3.0) for it says no webcam detected i contacted customer service of the webcam company (cyber link) and they said to check and see if it was the camera itself inside the computer and not the software by trying to use another webcam program i was looking online and the only ones i found were add on programs made to add more features to an already existing webcam so whats a good one i use to see if whats wrong and know if its the software or the hardware
