I have a kvm switch on a Windows 7 computer and the mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working.?
-
I am using a Linkskey KVM Switch to swap between a Windows 7 and Linux machine. Suddenly when I booted up on the Windows 7 machine, the keyboard and mouse no longer work via the switch. However, the monitor and the speakers still work via the switch. I have been using this switch for over 2 years with no problems. I seem to be getting device errors and Windows is unable to fix it, I also looked on the manufacturer's website to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas or is it time to get a new switch?

Answer:
It sounds like windows screwed up. Plug the mouse and keyboard in directly, then try to fix the problems. (Probably a driver problem) Go back to the switch and see if it will work now.
