  • Answer:

youtube is actually good for more than just funny and or stupid videos. here is a search on youtube fore "how to install cd rom drive" http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+install+cd+rom+drive there are several videos there and one is bound to help you out. be sure to take notes, once you have your computer off you won't be able to watch the video again untill you put it back together (hopefully with a new drive installed) good luck

yes just open your pc case unplug power and motherboard cable you might have to take a couple screws out that hold your cd writer in and buy new one -i would get dvd burner as they cost about the same and burn dvd and cd's and re install -your done.

For a CD burner you just disconnect the ide cable and the power cable and plug the new drive back in the same way. There are no drivers to install either. But you should buy a DVD/CD writer for abut $35 since just CD burners are hard to find.

unplug power, open side of tower, de-static yourself, remove old burner, follow power to MB and disconnect. Reverse to install new burner.
