How do you format a memory card on the computer?

Then where do i go to to format my memory card? My memory card reads error, so where can i locate it on the computer?

Answer:
Well it sorta depends on where you're getting an error message from. If you are on Windows and using a memory card reader, you should be able to goto My Computer, right click on your memory card, and select "format". Or you should be able to put it in a camera, and have the camera format it.

you can't, once you get errors on it then its time for you to replace the card. it's somewhere near the processor. it's a long, thin, rectangular chip.
