How to reformat a DVR drive for use on a computer?

Possible if i reformat my computer with a usb flash drive?

  • Im wondering if its possible for me to reformat my computer with a use flash drive? I have a Win Xp cd but could i drag all the files that are in that cd into the flash drive and use it to reformat?

    i dont believe its possible why dont u just use the disc? u could probly go online somewhere and illegaly download a copy of xp and when it asks u where to download u choose ur flash drive and then it will put it on ur flash drive and then plug it in to ur pc and run it that might work as long as u have the original key code that came with ur copy of xp ur tottaly good

if you are trying to install xp on a flash drive or from it yes you can do both but they will both require you to have a full OEM copy of windows xp...not like the ones that come with the Dell or HP and some free time to prep the USB stick...it is a bit of a process more than i can type but i have done both sucessfully...

I don't quite understand this.... you have a windows xp CD, now you want to take the files off the CD and place them onto a FLASH drive in order to reformat your HARDDRIVE.... O_o is this for a re-format? if so just toss the cd in and follow the instructions..... and as per your question, NO, it wont work because of security features....
