  • Answer:

It's possible that the driver for the DVD drive has been corrupted. Go to the Device Manager in Hardware under My Computer, right click on the drive, and select "Uninstall". Then reboot, and Windows should find the drive as "New Hardware" and re-install the driver for it. That often does the trick. Good luck.

Sorry, didn't read the question after the first sentence. Work on your grammer. It should say, "Why is my DVD drive no longer working?" or "Why isn't my DVD drive not working anymore?" or "My DVD drive isn't working anymore, why is that?" There are many other ways, but it is extremely hard to answer a question when you can't understand it
