How to set up a driver for my PC?

Trying to install driver "Please Plug-in Device" for webcam?

  • I am trying to download a driver offline, because I do not have a disc. I have Windows Vista. I have an Intex IT-305 WC cam. When I go to the Intex site to try and download the driver, it goes through (somewhat) but the set up goes to this: USB2.0 PC Camera Setup is preparing the InstallShield Wizard, which will guide you through the rest of the setup process. On that note. A pop up that says "Please Plug-in Device" comes up. So from then on, I plug in the device. And, press Okay. And even after that, the pop up comes back up. There is no sign of this driver already downloaded in the Device Manager. The webcam appears to be working? The light is on when I plug it in. What can I do? Is there anyway to fix this, I am wanting to get it working, because my brother is going to be stationed in Korea. If nothing else, I'll have to buy another cam, but money is very tight, so I'd prefer to do this, even if it's a pain.

  • Answer:

Iam not sure if am following you but try this; assuming you are not using your computer for the download: download the driver but do not run it save it to a usb memory stick, then plug it to your computer and copy the file to the desktop; click on it and run it when told plug your camera that should do it; but be aware that some drivers do require that the computer be connected to the internet and validate the copy or it will not finish the installation
