Why cant i use my sanyo incognito as a usb internet modem?

  • hey i got a sanyo incognito from boostmobile. Its suppost to work as a usb internet modem for my computer but evrytime i connect it it just says SANYO USB MODEM DRIVER NOT FOUND ive tried evrythin including USB MODEM SY06 but nothin worked not even datapilot. Does any1 kw how i can get it to work?

I've also tried the same thing with no luck. Tethering the Sanyo Incognito does not appear to be possible at this time, at least with Boost Mobile. You can access the phone memory or the micro-SD card using the USB cable and the Menu, Settings/Tools, Memory Storage, Connect to PC option , but the phone part turns off when you do this. As far as my searching the internet goes, there is no Phone As Modem (PAM) driver for this phone. It would sure be nice if there was. The next best option appears to be, if you want to use Boost, to buy an inexpensive ixxx Motorola phone from Boost and just pay the minimum to keep the number active ($80 per year right now). There are many drivers available for those phones. If someone figures out a way to tether the Sanyo Incognito, I'd sure love to hear about it.
