External harddrive conected to TV to watch films?
-
Hi I have a seagate external harddrive with a USB connection, I just connected it to my TV into the USB socket on the back and it brings up the folders with the films in but it doesn't show a thumb nail to click on and start the film. How can I get it to show the films so that I can play them?

Answer:
Try the arrow keys on the tv remote. You MUST use the remote that came with the TV. A universal remote or one for the cable/satellite will absolutely not work. It may not show a thumbnail, it might be the name of the file, i.e. movie. It is on my tv, and it is only the first part of the name so it is a bit confusing.
