Why do my speakers make fuzzy noise?

Why do my computer speakers constantly make a static noise?

  • Whenever theyre are turned on they do this which I find very frusturating. Brand new speakers so I have no clue whats wrong with them.

  • Answer:

What sound card do you have? I sometimes run into this problem also, I have a Creative SoundBlaster Live 24-Bit sound card. All you need to do is turn off your computer, and do a full reset. A FULL reset means turning off the power button at the rear of the computer and holding the power button with the power button off for at least 5-10 seconds. Then after reboot and it should be fine. If not you might want to contact the manufacture or plan on getting a new sound card. The second way this might be happening is magnetic shielding on your speakers, if you have some type of device that uses a "radio" type frequency to gather data like a cell phone, that's your problem, just move it somewhere else.
