Good webcam for youtube?

What webcam or camcorder is good to make youtube videos?

  • What I am wanting to know is what is are good brands and models of webcams and camcorders to make youtube videos with. I would like to get one of each but dont know really what a good webcam is.

    There are lots of very good webcams out there if you don't buy the cheapest ones so I would probably recommend one of those. As the previous poster mentioned, Youtube videos aren't all that high of resolution, so I think a webcam would serve you perfectly fine as you don't need the higher resolution of a camcorder in my opinion, unless you have one lying around. As for which would be good, Microsoft seems to have some good ones (there is one that has 3000 in its name...I think it is a pretty good one and isn't that expensive online) and Creative and Logitech also have good offerings. As long as it is a decent webcam, you shouldn't have a problem. Good luck to you!

youtube has about the worst quality you can get so if you're just using it for youtube, any camcorder would probably get you the same results.
