Can be erase to recordable cd?

How do i erase an audio CD RW?

  • i have a cdrw that i burn songs onto and now i want to erase them. i tried to format put there is no format option, i have tried to erase the cd but it said the cd is erase but isn't. before i burn the songs onto the cdrw it said if i burn them by using the "burn audio" option you will not be able to erase the cd rw. is there any way at all that i can get rid of the audio on the cd? Thanks.

    Well... I'm not sure if you problem is software specific so... try DVD Decrypter (I recommend this since its free). http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk There is an option to do an Erase somewhere in the program and I think it works with CD's as well as DVD's. Try to erase your CD-RW, if it works then burn with your normal program. If not, NERO has the ability to erase CD-RW as well. I hope this helps.

to erase it put it in, go my computer and find the disk there open it and highlight all the files, right click and press delete. if this doesnt work i dunno.=]

Hi, How did you write the songs in the 1st place. Normally you have the erase option. I suggest you use Nero. Its has all the required tools for erasing the cd. Good Luck

Yup, easy, but it involves the use of Linux. cdrecord blank=fast <your device ID> (sometimes you may need to use the -force switch) Alternatively you could try nero or similar. This tends to erase most discs pretty well too.
