Jailbreak iTouch 2g. Custom Firmware Installation Issue?

I have recently Jailbroken my iTouch, and Now my friend wan'ts me to jailbreak his. I used QuickFreedom, and the pre-jailbreak as complete, however when i select my custom firmware for itouch restore it wont let me install the firmware. I get the following message: The iPod (iPod) could not be restored becasue the custom firmware package is not compatable. I don't know if it's anything to do with the latest 2.2 version update, however i havent payed the 5.99 (£) to install it on my friends itouch. Help?
