Laptop webcam not working?

i bought his webcam on friday: http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001151&productId=1500265817&langId=-1&engine=froogle&keyword=Mikomi+5MP+Laptop+Webcam ive only been able to use it twice. when i go into webcam settings in MSN it says: i cant change my settings because its not plugged in or in use. but it is plugged in and im not using it for anything else/ ive reinstalled twice now. why does it keep doing this its doing my head in

Answer:
plug it ...check all connections...then install driver... without driver (software ) anty hardware can't work properly... I think your driver isn't installed properly
