How do you change the headlights in a 2006 subaru impreza?

  • I'd like to change my headlights in my subaru. I bought a set of Sylvania Silverstar lights. I'd like to know how to change them and if these new headlights are going to be better than the stock ones. Also, is there an easy way to remove the headlight assembly, so you don't have to work in a cramped space?

Removing the headlights are very time consuming. You have to remove all the center grill pieces and it's still tricky to pull the lights out. The passenger side light bulb is easy to do but the drivers side will be easier if you just removed the Battery. Then you just have to turn and pull out a cap on the back of the light, unclasp a little wire harness and pull out the bulb. If you just go for it, you will figure it out. It's really easy.Just take your time.
