How to do a wheelie in stock RX 135?

Which one is faster: Modified Honda Civic EG6 or Stock Subaru WRX STI or Stock Mazda RX-8 ?

  • I know that one is fwd, awd and rwd. I own a modified civic eg6 5spd. Modification include: B16A VTEC, cold air intake, engine manifold, header, 2.5 inch exhaust all the way, with 3inch spoon cannon muffler, twin clutch, semi-slick brigestone potenza r15, 5zeigen racing rims, koni adjustable racing coil over. carbon fibre hood, lips and rear wing. And a few minor mods. The EG6 runs: 0-60 mph 6sec, 1/4mile: 13 sec, top speed: 240 Kmh My friend own a stock rx-8 and stock wrx sti and they think they could out run me in a circuit. I just need your opinion. All three of us is a professional racing driver. There is just no race track in our area.

    ^^^ beg to differ sir. Sti's run high 12's stock. but mby thats my insane driver mod.

04-05 STi vs. your civic will be a close race IF you run 13.0 flat in the 1/4 as the subaru runs 13.5-13.0 in the 1/4 stock (with a good driver) and 0-60 in under 5 seconds...in a stop light race, you will have your *** handed to you by the STi 1/4 mile or from a roll you will have the upper hand on a road course, the rx-8 and STi will be in front so you are a professional racer yet there is no track in your area? how does that work?

Of all the modifications, none of them would have any real impact on your speed and torque and your B16A engine comes with the EG6 SiR-II model. A stock 2004 RX-8 runs a 0-60 at 5.8 seconds and a 14.49 quarter. (This is due to the lack of torque and horsepower which is just the nature of the rotary engine) A comparable 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi runs a 60 sprint at 5.1 seconds and a quarter at 13.8 seconds. (Just as a side note if your friend owns a newer model they are, just to say the least, drastically faster) Regardless if all your skills were equal then I would say that the Subaru Impreza would have the fastest sprint times. The RX-8 simply isin't a car built for sprinting, it's forte is in carving the best lines around tortuous roads so if anything it would be the car that you would want to consider if it can be faster than you on a circuit. But of course you all knew that if you were professional _drivers_ ;)

all great cars, STi will definately win in a circuit. not sure about all that other times and crap. but AWD will take it from the start and as soon as you take a corner, the Subie's gone
