Whats better for an impreza wagon exhaust replacement, a wrx or sti exhaust?

I want to swap my 2007 stock non-turbo impreza wagon exhaust with a wrx or sti stock exhaust, but i want to know which is better or if they will basically give the same gain in sound (I mainly to want gain a nicer sounding exhaust without shelling out hundreds for an aftermarket one).

The sound difference would be negligible. You may run into some fitment issues though, so be sure to do your research before you buy.

You're best off getting an aftermarket CBE or just the muffler - this is the cheapest way to get a louder exhaust note. Genuine WRX and STi TBE or even CBE are much more expensive (as they're genuine) and they don't fit the N/A - non-turbo. Good luck.

If you dont want it to sound obnoxiously loud like my wrx just get an oem sti catback, if your looking for a little more volume than that spt is good. Most other aftermarket exhausts are LOUD

Check with subarugenuineparts.com and see if they have a Subaru SPT exhaust that will work on your car. Ask to speak to Jamie, she races Subarus.
