Is the Flip Ultra HD a good video camera to make YouTube videos with?

  • I also have Windows Movie Maker, which doesn't do much... But yeah, would it be good to use for YouTube videos? It doesn't really have a pause button, so you have to take a lot of different shots then mash them together. So yeah :) Thanks

    You would need in excess of $3500 to buy a HD camcorder that has better video Quality than a $300 MiniDV tape camcorder has. You want to get a HD camera and use it with Windows Movie maker, which does not work with HD footage files. For about $300, you can get a Canon ZR 930 It is a MiniDV tape camcorder with a Mic jack.. That jack you will learn to love. For about $100 there are several video editing programs that make WMM suck. It is with one of these programs, I have edited over 18 hours of footage into an 1 hour 20 minute video.

It is a pretty good camera for what you need it for. It is not terribly expensive and it is great for portable hd videos. Hope this helps,
