What's the cheapest HD video camera?

Whats a good video camera under 300 dollars? hd would be great and so is night vision if possible.?

    I just bought Panasonic SDR-SW21-S camcorder and read a number of reviews on it. Mostly good, but some not so good. So when I bought it I made sure I could return it if it didn't meet my expectations. Well, I was presently surprised and estatic when all my audio and video needs were met with this great, compact camcorder. Yes, I can slip it in my pocket. Picture quality was great, with zoom the stabilization worked well, night shots where not a problem (some reviews noted an issue), and audio quality was fine.

flip in my opinion is the best. some cost a few bucks over 200 bucks, full HD, but unfortunatly no night vision.

I've got a Drift HD170 Stealth that is a really on point unit. It is slightly over that $300 mark depending where you live: http://www.launchhelmetcams.ca/Drift-Innovation-HD170-Stealth Night vision, rotating (170 degree) lens, built in LCD screen, external mic input/adapter, and films in a bunch of different recording settings (720/1080p at 30/60 fps). Also, it is small and mountable, takes a serious beating, and is waterproof. I obviously love mine. ;)
