How do I charge the battery for my new camera?

  • I just got a Polaroid DVC-00725F video camera. It says to charge the battery plug the ac adapter to the camera and into the wall. It also says the blinking light indicates the battery is charging, and when the light turns green, the battery is fully charged. Well, I checked the battery level and according to the manual, it is fully exhuasted and needs to be charged. So I plugged it in to charge and the light is not blinking and the light is green. I checked the battery level again, and it still says it is exhausted. What is going on? Am I doing something wrong? I have read the manual, and it seems as though I am doing everything right.

    Contact the polaroid company directly with your question. I have just contacted the canon company about the battery and my new camera. Is your camera powered on when you are charging?

1- test the outlet. 2- plug the charger. 3- give it 8 Hrs for the first charge to create battery memory. That way the battery is conditioned to acquire a full charge every time. If you use your camera a lot, let the battery run dry once a month and repeat. Treat the battery just like a cellphone battery.

your battery has likely gone bad, it is putting out enough volts to shut off the charger , but not enough amperage to run the camera, sorry but its time to buy a new battery. remember that Li On batteries go bad over time, even when not in use, LiOn batteries for cameras and phones last about 2 to 3 years.
