  • I have managed to copy my movies from my camcorder onto my PC and have even managed to burn them onto a DVD disc but when i go to play them on a DVD player they are not recognized not sure what i am doing wrong have tried all types of dvd's.My PC is windows vista please help going mad

  • Answer:

If the video files you copied to the DVD are .avi or .mov or .mp4 or other computer readable files, most DVD players will not play them. Only computers with DVD drives will play them You need to use a DVD authoring application like WinDVD to make the VOB files that DVD players need.

U dont just copy the clips on the DVD. U need a software to do that. DVD is compressed video under a specified format. Use roxio to burn the DVD.
