What kind of machine do I need to play mini dvds? I want to buy a dvd camcorder & can only afford a mini.?

I was going to order a dvd camcorder. I read thro the discription & found out is takes mini dvds. I have a dvd player do I need to buy another different dvd player in order to use the mini dvds? If I do where do I find them? If I don't how do I play minis in the dvd player I have? Plz help as I want to get one for Christmas & am totally clueless.

Answer:
DVD and CD machines read different sized disk, even different shapes. The laser moves along the drive until it picks up the disk. If you've looked at the CD tray, you should notice a smaller grove slot. They are for smaller disks. Don't worry, manufacturers (USUALLY) won't make items that will get people screaming blue murder, once they buy them. They all look for standards which everyone follows.
