My bestfriend bought me a Canon SD630 Digital Camera Elph 6.0 megapixels, 3.0" LCD, 3x optical zoom. Trust me, it's the bomb!

Canon, definately for a cam, but I recomment the A430. I just bought one for 150.00 cdn. Some digi cams can be used for IM as well. For DV I'd go JVC.
