Are there any wireless mics for FLIP ULTRA HD?

I Think I was Cheated On Ebay Concerning The Flip Ultra HD? Please Help..?

  • Alright. I'm was on the verge of starting to vlog about my bodybuilding journey on youtube. So I went to ebay, because one of my friends recommend the Flip Ultra HD line-up to me. So I said,"Okay." Went there, and say a Flip Ultra HD 8gbs for 43 bucks! Steal, right? WRONG! I asked the seller alot of questions and he told me that it doesn't need a charger, he'll include batteries. So I said," Alright." I can probably buy batteries for it anyway through an online store like Amazon. The thing came pretty fast. Opened it up and hooked it up to my computer. With a little research and such, It comes out that the camera that was given to me was a FLIP ULTRA CAM. No problem with that, but I don't want to keep buying batteries and batteries upon batteries. The thing doesn't take rechargeables like in the newer models. What should I do? Should I keep it, or send it back to get an Ultra HD 3rd Gen? Your thoughts.

  • Answer:

depends on how often you vlog if its only goin to be a weekly thing then you should be able to get by on cheap batteries....if ur posting vids daily or bi-daily then it might be worth going through the long process of sending it back so its about preference..... PS you shudve went to amazon first

Hmm, if the seller told you that this is an Ultra HD and it is a Ultra VGA 640x480 camcorder then yeah, I would send it back. It is not what was presented to you and that wasn't ethical. However, if you don't mind then I think this could work for you. Are you sure it can't take rechargeable batteries? The older VGA models can and did accept standard AA, you might have to look for the higher powered rechargeable 2100+ type but that shouldn't be an issue. That would save you a lot of money in the long run. If you buy inexpensive batteries they will drain faster and might not even work in the camcorder. They don't have enough juice to power camcorders. In addition, you can buy an AC Flip Video Power adapter plug if you are going to record from home. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B5CVNC Most video blog posts max out at 3 - 5 minutes. Or should unless you are doing exercise demonstrations and things like that. So recording time is going to be dependent on the battery life. Then again, if you are recording indoors and have that AC adapter you can go as long as you need to record. To me $43 sound about right for a older used VGA Flip camcorder. I still would double check to make sure that the seller told you the right thing about the purchase. If not, see if you can be compensated or report what he/she has done.
